Causes of forgetfulness are difficult to pinpoint. We tend to forget things that don't interest us. Forgetfulness in old age is the result of a degeneration of brain-cells.

Check if most symptoms of any of these medicines match with most of your symptoms:

Anacardium 30 : Extreme forgetfulness, the person sometimes forgetting even his own name; paradoxical nature, the person laughing at serious matters and becoming serious over laughable matters; highly suspicious and malicious, with an irresistible desire to swear and curse.

Lac caninum 30 : Absent-minded and forgetful; makes purchases and walks away without paying; makes mistakes while writing, omitting final letters of words; feeling of loneliness and despair; visions of snakes.

Nux moschata 30 : Great forgetfulness - cannot recognise friends, objects or places; indifference to everything; highly changeable mood - happy, laughing at one moment and sad, weeping at the very next; other symptoms include drowsiness, sleepiness, dryness all over and inside the body (yet thirstlessness).

Sulphur 30 : Very forgetful; cannot remember names of people; cannot find the proper word during conversation. Other symptoms include: unbearable hunger at 11.00 a.m., burning in the body and discomfiture while standing.
