Colitis

Colitis means an inflammation of the large intestine.

Homeopathic Treatment

Check if most symptoms of any of these medicines match with most of your symptoms:

Arsenic 30 : Pain in the abdomen, especially at midnight from 12-2 a.m. The stools are dark, offensive and loose, with a cadaveric odour; burning in the anus and great prostration during and after stools. There is extreme mental restlessness and fear, the victim feeling he is about to die.

Lachesis 30 : Ulcerative colitis with offensive, bloody stools. Excessive sensitiveness to touch, an intolerance of tight clothing and a jealous/suspicious nature are other pointers to this remedy.

Mere cor 30 : Ulcerative colitis with copious, offensive bloody and slimy stools. There is severe, colicky pain in the abdomen before, during and after the stools. Other distinguishing features include: intense thirst and a moist, swollen tongue.

Pbos 30 : Colitis with burning in the abdomen and the anus, and stools containing bright red blood. An oversensitive nature and a craving for cold foods/drinks are other pointers to this medicine.

Notes:

1. Discontinue the medicine as soon as about fifty per cent improvement occurs. Restart the medicine if symptoms worsen again or reappear later.
