EczemaEczema is considered an allergic disorder of skin characterised by patches of redness with itching, burning, vesicle-formation and oozing. The skin-patches appear black, raised and thickened. Homeopathic TreatmentCheck if most symptoms of any of these medicines match with most of your symptoms: Arsenic 30 : Black eczematous patches with itching and burning pain. The burning increases on scratching the skin but is relieved by hot applications. From the patches exudes a fluid with foul, cadaveric smell. Severe mental agony and physical debility are other features. Graphites 30 : Eczematous patches on bends of joints, groins, on the scalp and behind the ears. On these patches occur small vesicles which readily burst open to discharge a thin but very sticky fluid. In general, the skin is unhealthy, rough, hard, dry and cracked, with almost constant itching, worst at night and during menstrual periods. A striking feature of this medicine is sad nature with a tendency to weep on hearing music. Petroleum 30 : Eczema, especially of the scalp, in winter. There is violent itching which forces the person to scratch off the skin. Thereafter, thick, yellowish crusts form on those parts. In general the skin is unhealthy, dry and cracked with profuse foul-smelling perspiration. All skinproblems diminish in dry, hot weather (summer). Psorinum 30 : Eczema of the scalp, checks and ears with violent itching and soreness, which becomes worse on bathing and from warmth. Incessant scratching leaves the skin hard and thickened. Perspiration is absent or minimal. Inexplicable general debility and chilliness (requiring warm clothes even in summer) are other features of this remedy. Rhus tox 30 : Eczema, especially of the genitals, occurring during the monsoon or winter. There are yellowish vesicles on the affected patches of skin with much itching and burning. The person is restless, hardly able to keep still. Sulphur 30 : Eczema, with severe itching and burning causing an aversion to bathing and washing. An intolerable hunger at 11 a.m. and a disinclination to keep standing are other pointers to this medicine. Notes:
