New Diagnostic Aids

1. Radio Visiongraphy (RVG)

This is a very convenient way of taking a radiograph. In this, a sensor is used as a film and the X-ray is taken. The sensor picks up the image and transfers it to the computer screen. It saves patient's as well as doctor's time.

It's other advantages are that the image can be enlarged for clarity and the patient's exposure to radiation is 1/20th of that from conventional X-rays.

2. Apex Locaters

During root canal treatment this instrument is used to find the apex of the tooth using the principle of impedance.
