White pumpkin

Botanically white pumpkin is known as Benincasa hispida. More popularly it is called Kashunda. It is a herbaceous climbing plant, for which artificial, supports are necessary for its proper growth. It is extensively cultivated in India, particularly in Bengal. The fruit is oval through round and elliptical in shape. Its weight varies from 1 kg to 8 kg or more.
